Bonita
Patton, PhD, LP (Rochester)
APP Owner/Operations Director
Dr.
Patton has over 20 years of experience as a therapist. She is
a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, has certification in clinical hypnotherapy and is Level
II EMDR certified. She works with all age groups. Specialties
include: PTSD, childhood and adult trauma and dissociation, pain
management; phobias; gender dysphoria; pre marital and marital
counseling; work stress; parent-teen issues; recovery from addictions
and habit disorders. She also devotes part of her practice to
supervising new therapists.

Anderson, MSW, LICSW (Rochester/Owatonna)
John
is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 35
years of experience in outpatient psychotherapy. He works with
children, adolescents, and adults, providing individual, couple,
and family therapy. John has expertise in the areas of family
therapy, marital counseling, grief counseling, and issues of adolescence.

Susan
F. Dunhaupt, MS, LICSW (Faribault)
Susan
is a generalist psychotherapist with experience providing therapeutic
services to children diagnosed with childhood disorders such as
ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder,
as well as experience treating clients with other age-related
issues. Susan also has expertise in anger management, depression,
anxiety, personality disorders, parenting concerns, past abuse,
grief issues, and stress management. Susan's clientele is composed
of individuals, couples, and families; and includes children (from
age seven), adolescents, and adults.

Ronald
J. Hardrict, MD (Rochester/Faribault/Owatonna)
Dr.
Ronald Hardrictserves as APP's psychiatrist, as well being an
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Family Practice Medicine
at the University of Minnesota,and Clinical Neuropsychiatrist
and Medical Director of Quality Care Clinic. He received his B.S.
in Biology from Stanford University in 1980, and was conferred
his B.A. degree in Spanish Literature from Stanford in 1981. Dr.
Hardrict completed medical training at Meharry Medical College,
Nashville, Tennessee in 1990. His psychiatry residency was completed
at the University of Minnesota in 1996. Dr. Hardrict specializes
in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals age 10 years and
older with general psychiatric conditions including depression,
anxiety, as well as all major psychiatric disorders. He also specializes
in Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Autism and Aspergers Syndrome)
and works with the developmentally disabled.

M. Imp, PhD, LP (Rochester)
Dr.
Imp has 27 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. He
provides individual, family, and marital counseling in working
with adolescents, adults and the elderly. Some of the issues typically
dealt with are stress management, anger management, depression,
and anxiety. Therapy is typically centered on the here and now
supplemented by personality insight. A variety of self-help materials
are available to facilitate progress.

Tatyana
Karpyak MS, LPP (Owatonna/Rochester)
Tatyana
Karpyak is a Licensed Psychological Practitioner. She graduated
from Moscow State University (Russia) in 1981 and worked as a
Psychologist for 17 years in Odessa, Ukraine. She specializes
in psychological testing, social skills training and individual
psychotherapy for children and adults with depression, anxiety,
ADHD, behavioral and stress related problems. Tatyana is fluent
in English and Russian. Tatyana is currently completing her doctoral
studies at Argosy University, while continuing to work part time
at APP.

M. Meyer, MA, LP (Rochester)
Kristi
is a Licensed Psychologist experienced with ADHD, LD, depression,
anxiety, personality disorders, and behavioral problems. Her areas
of expertise include psychological testing and assessment for
children and adults. She specializes in stress-management, communication
skills, anger and behavior management, social skills, self-esteem,
phobias, panic disorders, OCD, and relaxation techniques. Kristi
practices from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, and serves
individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Patricia
(Pattie) Lynch, MSW, LICSW (Rochester)
Pattie
treats child, adolescent and adult survivors/victims of sexual
abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, and witnessing traumatic
events.She also works with children and juveniles who act out
sexually, and incest victims. Pattie does play therapy with young
children and support therapy for parents as well as therapy with
abuse/neglect issues. She enjoys working with adolescents with
sexual identity, developmental and school and family related issues.
Pattie's final areas of expertise is treating adolescents and
adults with chemical dependency and or mental illness.She completes
C.D. assessments, DUI evaluations and education to mandated drivers,
and works with addicted moms mandated to treatment.

Amawi-Hanane, MSW, LICSW. (Rochester)
Lana
comes to us with 12 years of experience in mental health and has
worked in a variety of settings such as community mental health,
impatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and emergency
centers. Some of her practice interests include cross-cultural
counseling (she speaks fluent Arabic) individual and group therapy,
marital/couples counseling, psychopharmacology, and clinical trials.
Lana
specializes in Cognitive-Behavior and Solution-Focused therapies.
She see patients from the age of 15 - 55 who deal with relationship,
personality, and adjustment issues.

Strait, PsyD, LP (Owatonna/Faribault)
Dr. Strait is
a licensed clinical psychologist. She provides psychological assessment
(e.g., court ordered, bariatric & sexual offenses) and psychotherapy
(e.g., individual, couple & family) for adults, adolescents, and
children (over age 10) to address all areas of mental health (e.g.,
depression, anxiety, anger and coping). Dr. Strait specializes in
the treatment of sexuality issues (e.g., sexual dysfunction, transgender,
sexual compulsions) through assessment and therapy. |

Swanson-Haapala, PsyD, LP (Owatonna/Faribault)
Dr.
Swanson is a licensed clinical psychologist who works primarily
with adults and adolescents. She is especially skillful at working
with women's issues, trauma work, depression, anxiety, and the
gifted. She also has extensive experience working in special education
with adolescents with disabilities and their parents.

Barb has
experience with young children and families, including play therapy
with children ages 3-11. She also counsels adults with depression
and anxiety, OCD, and BPD. Barb has extensive experience with
personality testing and neuropsychological testing for cognitive
deficits in children and the elderly. Other specialty areas include
Bariatric and Social Security Disabiltiy evaluations.

Terri is
a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has extensive
experience with adoptive and foster families, and with children
who have experienced abuse and neglect. Terri utilizes family
therapy for children who have attachment disorders, attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder,
PTSD, depression, behavioral disorders, and learning disorders.
Terri also works with adults with parenting issues and other life
stress issues. Terri uses structural and experiential technique.
She emphasizes the use of coping skills, along with cognitive
behavior therapy. She also works with couples on relationship
issues from an emotionally focused perspective.

O'Friel Psy D, LP (Rochester)
Dr. Michael
O'Friel is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. He graduated from
London University in 1996 with his B.A. in Human Geography and
completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2006 from
George Fox University in Oregon. He also works as Alcohol and
Other Drug Education Coordinator and Counselor. He specializes
in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adolescents and
adults (15yrs or older) who are struggling with mood disorders,
addictions, relationship problems, pervasive developmental disorders,
stress management, sleeping, and time management. Dr. O'Friel
also has a special interest in working with men's issues including
anger management, communication difficulties, and addiction.

Anita
Handevidt MS, RN, CNP, CNS
(Rochester/Faribault/Owatonna)
Anita joined
the staff of Associates In Psychiatry & Psychology in July 2005.
Anita is a Certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. Anita
Handevidt works in all of the APP clinics doing medication management.
Anita works with all mental health related issues. Special interest
areas include developmental disabilities, autism, pain management
and geriatrics. Anita works with ages 13 and older.

Rebecca
Vigars MA, LMFT (Rochester)
Becky has
been licensed and in practice since 1998. She enjoys working with
individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents. She
has experience helping individuals overcome the effects of trauma
(past and present), depression, anxiety, as well as anger management.
Becky helps couples achieve better communications and thereby
have increasingly deeper and more satisfying relationships. She
also enjoys helping parents develop positive parenting skills
and strategies. Becky has extensive training and experience working
with children and adolescents in all areas that affect their lives
from domestic violence, addiction, physical and sexual abuse,
divorce to ADHD, behavior and school issues. Becky has worked
with children in foster care, as well as with foster parents and
parents working for reunification. She also has experience working
with adoptive families and children.
