APP Owner/Operations Director
Dr.
Patton has over 20 years of experience as a therapist. She is
a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, has certification in clinical hypnotherapy and is Level
II EMDR certified. She works with all age groups. Specialties
include: PTSD, childhood and adult trauma and dissociation, pain
management; phobias; gender dysphoria; premarital and marital
counseling; work stress; parent-teen issues; recovery from addictions
and habit disorders. She also devotes part of her practice to
supervising new therapists.

Susan
is a generalist psychotherapist with experience providing therapeutic
services to children diagnosed with childhood disorders such as
ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder,
as well as experience treating clients with other age-related
issues. Susan also has expertise in anger management, depression,
anxiety, personality disorders, parenting concerns, past abuse,
grief issues, and stress management. Susan's clientele is composed
of individuals, couples, and families; and includes children (from
age seven), adolescents, and adults.

Tatyana
Karpyak MS, LPP, LPC (Owatonna/Rochester)
Tatyana
Karpyak is a Licensed Psychological Practitioner and Licensed
Professional Counselor.. She graduated from Moscow State University
(Russia) in 1981 and worked as a Psychologist for 17 years in
Odessa, Ukraine. She specializes in psychological testing, social
skills training and individual psychotherapy for children and
adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral and stress related
problems. She also completes INS evaluations and SSI assessments.
Tatyana is fluent in English and Russian. Tatyana is currently
completing her doctoral studies at Argosy University, while continuing
to work part time at APP.

Kristi
is a Licensed Psychologist experienced with ADHD, LD, depression,
anxiety, personality disorders, and behavioral problems. Her areas
of expertise include psychological testing and assessment for
children and adults. She specializes in stress-management, communication
skills, anger and behavior management, social skills, self-esteem,
phobias, panic disorders, OCD, and relaxation techniques. Kristi
practices from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, and serves
individuals, couples, families, and groups. Kristi also teaches
at St. Mary's University.

Patricia
(Pattie) Lynch, MSW, LICSW (Rochester)
Pattie treats
child, adolescent and adult survivors/victims of sexual abuse,
physical abuse, domestic violence, and witnessing traumatic events.She
also works with children and juveniles who act out sexually, and
incest victims. Pattie does play therapy with young children and
support therapy for parents as well as therapy with abuse/neglect
issues. She enjoys working with adolescents with sexual identity,
developmental and school and family related issues. Pattie's final
areas of expertise includes treating adolescents and adults with
chemical dependency and or mental illness.She completes C.D. assessments,
DUI evaluations and education to mandated drivers, and works with
addicted moms mandated to treatment.

from the University of Delhi, India. His residency was at the
Mayo Clinic, Rochester. Dr. Das' specialties are adult psychiatry,
mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD and impulse
control disorders

Dr.
Leo Passov completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin
Madison. He is currently completing his residency at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Passov is with APP on a part-time basis specializing in adult
psychiatry assisting patients suffering from a wide variety of
psychological and psychiatric disorders.

Matthew Lilly, MD (Rochester)
Dr.
Matthew Lilly is board-certified with the Royal College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Canada and is licensed to practice psychiatry
in Minnesota. He completed a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at
the Mayo Clinic in 2011. Dr. Lilly works primarily with adult
and geriatric patients, providing psychiatric assessments and
medication management. He has experience in managing a variety
of psychiatric illnesses, including but not limited to depression,
bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dementia, attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder, substance abuse, anxiety disorders, and personality
disorders.

Dr. Strait
is a licensed clinical psychologist. She provides psychological
assessment (e.g., court ordered, bariatric & sexual offenses)

adolescents, and children (over age 10) to address all areas of
mental health (e.g., depression, anxiety, anger and coping). Dr.
Strait specializes in the treatment of sexuality issues (e.g.,
sexual dysfunction, transgender, sexual compulsions) through assessment

is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and MN Qualified Neutral
Family Mediator. Terri works with couples to mediate family and
financial matters when they are seeking a divorce. Terri enjoys
working with couples that desire to enhance their relationship.
She helps them focus on their emotional experiences from an attachment
perspective. She also works with adults who have parenting concerns,
Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Anger Management issues, abuse issues
and other life stressors. She does Cognitive Behavior Therapy,
inner child, and grief work. Terri has extensive experience working
with families and children in the foster/adoption system and with
parents who wish to reunify with their children. Terri does individual
and family therapy for children who have behavioral and learning
disorders including Reactive Attachment, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant,
PTSD, Depression, Bi-Polar and Anxiety disorders. Terri uses structural,
experiential and play therapy.

joined APP in September of 2010 and provides psychotherapy and
psychological evaluations to adults struggling with a variety
of issues. Ms. Davern specializes in treating trauma. She also
specializes in treating trauma in the immigrant population. Currently
Ms.Davern offers a group for severely traumatized adults. She
also offers group and individual therapy for co-dependency. Sharon
enjoys spending time with animals and has a special interest in
horses.

Kathryn ("Katie")
brings over 30 years of experience to APP. Katie works with clients
across the age spectrum (6+ years and up). In addition to individual
and group psychotherapy, her specialties include: play therapy,
couples, and family therapy. Areas of interest include: depression
(particularly with seasonal components S.A.D.), life transitions
(adolescence to young adulthood, divorce, etc.), PTSD, stress
management, grief and loss. She recently added animal-assisted
therapy, with her TDI trained/certified therapy dog, Lexi, a 7
y/o Samoyed. Research interests include: the correlation between
attachment and PTSD; depression in children; and the influence
of fathers on adult development in their children.

LexiI, a
7 year-old former champion Samoyed, has worked with Katie Amundson,
PhD., as a therapy team since 2009. As a former show dog, Lexi
has the temperament necessary to be a therapy dog. She is AKC
and TDI certified to provide animal-assisted therapy in a clinical
setting. Lexi was born to touch people with her boundless love,
mellow personality, and good looks! She is a people magnet. As
one of her clients aptly described her, she is "love on legs."

Becky has
been licensed and in practice since 1998. She enjoys working with
individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents. She
has experience helping individuals overcome the effects of trauma

Becky helps couples achieve better communications and thereby
have increasingly deeper and more satisfying relationships. She
also enjoys helping parents develop positive parenting skills
and strategies. Becky has extensive training and experience working
with children and adolescents in all areas that affect their lives
from domestic violence, addiction, physical and sexual abuse,
divorce to ADHD, behavior and school issues. Becky has worked
with children in foster care, as well as with foster parents and
parents working for reunification. She also has experience working
with adoptive families and children.
